2017 Workshop + Demo Schedule

Demos and workshops at Specific times:

Composting: We will have 3 different workshops on composting

The Vast World of Reusable Bags (12:30pm and 1:30pm): Brigitte Griffin from Transition Framingham will do a show and tell on a number of different kinds of reusable bags that can be used when doing different kinds of shopping. With the Plastic Bag Bylaw going into effect on January 1st 2018 now is the time to start thinking about your strategy of how to use your own bags whenever possible.

Bee Keeping Demo (11:00am and 11:30am): Tony Miceli will do a short beekeeping demo that will help those interested in Bee Keeping get started. He will have a non active hive with him to show as an example. Come prepared to learn all about Bee Keeping with a local expert!

Environmentally Friendly Packing Materials (12:00pm, 1:00pm, and 2:00pm): Thomas Bregnard from Peanut Planet will be sharing information on environmentally friendly packing materials including biodegradable starch-based packing peanuts. He may also have some samples to hand out!

Alpaca vs Cashmere (1:00pm, and 2:00pm): Angel Hair Alpacas will do a demo on the positive impact of alpacas as a green alternative.

Ongoing Activities throughout the day:

Make your own bug repellent (Ongoing): dōTERRA Essential Oils will have an ongoing activity where festival goers can make their own bug repellent. Be sure to check this out as we are getting into bug season!
