Mike Croci

Director

Mike leads the amazing team of volunteers below as the Director of the 2020 Framingham Earth Day Festival. This is Mike’s 5th year with the festival and his 4th year as Director. Mike is a also a member of the local environmental community group Transition Framingham. He works for Framingham based ecological landscaping company Green Abundance By Design and is the Garden Specialist at the Framingham Centre Nursery School

Donna Kramer Merritt

President & Sponsorship Coordinator

Donna is the heart and soul of the Framingham Earth Day Festival. She founded the Festival in 2011, served as Director for 6 years and is the President of Framingham Earth Day, Inc. Now she serves the team as the Sponsorship Coordinator ensuring that we have the resources to put on the festival each year. Donna owns The Gentle Place, a Framingham based wellness center offering yoga, massage, therapy and much more!

Brigitte Griffin

Recycling Coordinator

Brigitte is passionate about waste reduction and brings that passion to our team as our Recycling Coordinator. This is her fourth year volunteering with the Festival, serving in the same role all 4 years, during which time she has helped to significantly expand the number of items the festival collects. Brigitte works full time at the McAuliffe Branch Library and is very active in local community groups Transition Framingham and the Framingham Seed Lending Library.

Max Larson

Music Coordinator

Max has served as the Music Coordinator for the Framingham Earth Day Festival since 2013. A Framingham native and lifelong musician, Max brings together local artists and entertainers who share the festival’s passion for serving the community and protecting the environment. He works at Centre Music House and serves on the board of the Framingham Centre Common Cultural District.

Kat Suwalski

Marketing & Social Media Coordinator

Kat is honored to be a part of the Earth day team for the second year. She believes that the world’s health is in our hands, we as individuals hold the power, and by finding small obtainable ways to lessen our footprint, we can have a major impact on the environment. When she isn’t gathering community awareness of the event, she can be seen playing with her toddler with a hula hoop in hand or finding peace in her yoga classes.

Sarah Cavicchi

Marketing & Social Media Coordinator

Sarah joins the Framingham Earth Day Festival planning committee for her first official year after dipping her toes in as a volunteer at last year’s festival. She successfully made it thru 2019 without buying a single item of new clothing and the journey inspired her to continue making efforts, big and small, to stop the waste. She works at Bank of America and volunteers with their environmental group to clean up river ways, plant trees, educate employees on their composting and recycling programs and more. Sarah has two girls who love composting, gardening and exploring with her as much as possible!

Alex Volfson

Treasurer

Alex is a founding member of the Framingham Earth Day Festival and has served many roles over the years including Volunteer Coordinator and Vendor Coordinator. Alex is the team treasurer this year and has served in that role for many years. Alex is also one of the co-founders of a local environmental organization called Transition Framingham and has a leadership role in the Framingham Repair Cafe. As a true local hero the full bevy of other environmental efforts that Alex has been a part of is far too long to list!

Angela Garabet

Volunteer Coordinator

Angela joins the Earth Day Festival planning committee for the 3rd year as one of our Volunteer Coordinators. She has lived in the Framingham area for a decade and enjoys other community based activities and currently volunteers with Stearns Farm & Transition Framingham. Angela enjoys traveling, yoga and trying hard not to break too many things to have them fixed at Framingham’s Repair Cafe!

Jacey Norton

Children’s Coordinator

Jacey is helping to coordinator Children’s Activities at the Festival for the 5th year and always does an amazing job blending fun with education. Jacey is the Director of the Framingham Centre Nursery School (FCNS) which is a nature based preschool in the basement of the Parish Hall at First Parish Church (directly across the street from the festival). Check in with Jacey the day of the Festival to see what fun she has planned for the festival or to pick her brain on the amazing work she does at FCNS!

Bob Zimmerman

Officer & Assistant Food Vendor Coordinator

Bob Zimmerman is one of the original founders of the Festival, serves as one of the officers and has had several roles over the years. He currently is serving as Assistant Food Vendor Coordinator and jack-of-all trades on the days leading up to the Festival. Bob is a favorite amongst our team!

Marybeth Croci

Food Vendor Coordinator

Marybeth loves being part of this amazing team! This is her 5th year helping out with the festival, previously serving as City Coordinator and now as Food Vendor Coordinator. She also helps run the Framingham Repair Cafe, volunteers at the Callahan Senior Center and Days for Girls, and teaches Yoga at Mystic Fitness and the Metrowest YMCA.
